2013 OCBC Obon Festival Activity Schedule

Here is the schedule for odori (Japanese dance) practice for the OCBC Obon Festival (june 29 and 30):

Tuesdays, 6/11 and 6/18, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursdays, 6/13 and 6/20, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Monday, 6/24, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, 6/26, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

We will have kendo practice at our usual time during the odori practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, the dancers will be using the middle part of the parking lot, so please park in the side areas or in the back parking lot off of Ball Road, if the gate is open. Also, please watch for little children if you arrive during the odori practice.

Thank you to all that have signed up to work in our booth (imagawayaki) for Obon Festival. I will send out an electronic copy this week and please sign up if you haven’t already done so.

Lastly, please note the following events during the week prior to Obon Festival:

Tuesday, 6/25: Anko-zukuri starting at 6:00 p.m. in the MPB kitchen; kendo practice will start at the usual time.
Thursday, 6/27: No kendo practice; we will need adult and teenage volunteers to help with booth setup in the parking lot starting at 6:00 p.m.

I will send out reminders next week. Please let me know if you have any questions.
